Source: PWInsider Elitedaniel_bryanAs noted earlier, Daniel Bryan was sent home from the WWE European tour last week. PWInsider reported that Daniel Bryan suffered the injury early in a match at the April 9th WWE live event in Dublin, Ireland where he teamed with Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan to defeat Sheamus, Bray Wyatt and Bad News Barrett.

PWInsider reports that Bryan is expected to be out for approximately four weeks. Bryan’s Intercontinental title defense against Barrett this Sunday at Extreme Rules remains listed on, however Michael Cole and JBL did mention on RAW this past Monday that the match would only happen if Bryan is healthy enough to compete.

seth rollinsAlthough a number of readers have written in asking where Seth Rollins’ Curb Stomp was taken away from him by WWE management, numerous sources have told that is not the case.

However, the decision was made to give Rollins the new DDT variation with the idea that it was a finisher that could be used on anyone, anywhere, similar to say, an RKO.

  • Rampage Jackson Back On UFC 186 This Weekend, UFC-Reebok Pay Structure, Nate Quarry Exhibition

Posted on April 22nd, 2015 No author. No comments
ufcQuinton “Rampage” Jackson is back on this weekend’s UFC 186 show after an injunction that prevented him from fighting was overturned. Jackson’s previous employer, Bellator MMA had filed an injunction to keep him off the card, but things didn’t go their way this week.

The 36-year old continued training despite being removed from the show and replaced by Steve Bosse. Jackson faces his original opponent, #12-ranked Fabio Maldonado. Since Jackson was just re-booked, the two agreed to a 215-pound catchweight fight as opposed to light heavyweight

We’ll have full live coverage of UFC 186 Saturday starting with the preliminary bouts at 6:30 pm eastern.

    – Due to criticisms of UFC and Reebok’s originally planned sponsorship pay structure, the system has been overhauled. The two companies originally based the payouts on rankings as voted on by the media. Instead, the pay will be distributed based on tenure, including fights under the WEC and Strikeforce banners under Zuffa control.

Many fighters have lost out on sponsors since the exclusive Reebok deal with UFC was announced. The deal will go in to effect this July, and will prohibit fighters from wearing outside brands to fight-week related activities.

    – Former UFC fighter Nate Quarry made headlines this week as he participated in an exhibition with 19-year old Jake Beckmann, who has Down’s Syndrome. After Quarry submitted in the second round to a leg lock, the promoters presented Beckmann with a championship belt. You can see video of the event below.

  • Batista Talks Return To WWE And Working Limited Schedule, Beating Rock’s Record, Guardians 2

Posted on April 22nd, 2015 No author. No comments
wwe logo“Hey U Guys” interviewed Dave Bautista at the Avengers: Age of Ultron premiere in London. You can check out the full interview above, below are some highlights:

    * He can’t say anything about his role in the upcoming James Bond movie, since it’s “all top secret international spy stuff.”

    * He noted that he’s “curious” about his role in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and he’s kind of have been kept in the dark regarding it, which he doesn’t mind.

    * It was noted that The Rock‘s Furious 7 beat the record set by Guardians of the Galaxy last year, and was asked if Guardians 2 will beat Furious 7‘s record. Batista was confident that it would, noting that Guardians of the Galaxy was fresh when it came out last year. Now that people are familiar with Guardians, he feels that the sequel will do even better.

    * As for a return to pro wrestling, Batista brought up Chris Jericho only working live events during his last WWE run and said that he might take that path. He said that with working on TV you’re too locked into the scripts, which he doesn’t think “are great these days.” He said that he just wants to entertain the fans, so he “may try to go that path.”

    Jim Ross Blog

    Jim Ross

Jim Ross will interview 2-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion and 7-time tag team champion Bobby Roode on the new edition of The Ross Report that airs tonight at 9PM ET. You can listen to the show through iTunes and at

JR also ran down the latest episode of Monday Night Raw on his blog.

“Thought the irate and angry Kane persona was a plus. Not sure, other than Undertaker, that any WWE talent has ever had a more distinguished career than Glen Jacobs aka Kane. His character and integrity are beyond reproach and he should be what every talent in NXT strives to emulate. He is exactly the kind of person WWE needs to always utilize in a variety of ways as he is rock solid in every area and is an invaluable mentor to the young wrestlers.”

“Hopeful that Daniel Bryan is going to be OK soon but he has to change some of the things that he does whether he wants to or not and not be a prisoner to his on reputation as being one of the best wrestlers in the world. He could eliminate many things from his repertoire and still be one of the best talents in the business. His health is much more important than diving head butts, drop kicks where he strikes the back of his head on the canvas, etc. His most important job in life isn’t being a wrestler but a son, husband and perhaps some day a father. Without great health, those lots in life are more challenging and they’re not easy for a healthy person.”

“I don’t know if WWE has or has not banned the use of Seth Rollins’ Curb Stomp finisher but many fans are seemingly up in arms about its absence. I say the safety of the athlete is always the first priority of any responsible company and if the move is more likely to concuss people than others then it needs to be eliminated. It’s that simple.”

“It’s too bad that so many people within the business have bastardized the DDT, among other moves, or it would still be a great finisher instead of another overused, uncreative high spot that everyone kicks out of on a regular basis. Those type of issues where finishing maneuvers have become impotent ‘spots’ is the fault of undisciplined bookers within the world of wrestling and lazy talents who have not mastered the art of wrestling.”

  • Missy Hyatt Gives Explanation for Arrest, “Grand Theft” Charges

Posted on April 22nd, 2015 Mike Killam No comments
missy hyattRecently it was reported that Missy Hyatt had been arrested in March on charges of grand theft in Tallahassee, FL.Hyatt spoke with Mike Johnson of to explain her side of the situation. Apparently, another woman left a civil war reenactment uniform in her rental car, which was lost when she returned it to the dealership without knowing the uniform was inside. The woman then went to local police, claiming the item was worth $10,000 which led to Hyatt being charged for grand theft (any property over $300 in the state of Florida).

When she heard about the charges, Missy went to the police and turned herself in, and was released a few hours later. She noted that the other woman had no receipt for the purchase of the uniform, no proof that it was ever in her car, and that she expects the case to get laughed out of court or at the very least dropped to a civil matter.

    — Eva Marie (@natalieevamarie) April 21, 2015

Good for Eva. Genuinely. She gets a lot of crap from a lot of people but the reality is the company saw a pretty face and body and threw her on television before she knew how to wrestle. Would you throw a high school freshman onto the Patriots? The downside for her is she’s got a massive spotlight on her as she attempts to start from square one; the upside is there’s that many more eyes on her if she manages to overcome the odds.
